Boxing

Boxing is a superior workout along with developing an invaluable skill.  A boxing workout is the perfect combination of cardiovascular and muscle training.  You'll burn more calories, build more stamina, develop and tone more muscle in a boxing workout than you with any other training method.

Chu’s Martial Arts offer boxing classes 3 times a week, our boxing classes are structured to teach all levels of boxing from beginners through to the competitive level. Our instructor has been coaching boxing for over 40 years. He has coached in the USSR, Israel and Canada. He was the National boxing coach of the State of Israel and led his boxers in three World Championships.

Our school is a registered member of Boxing Ontario  - http://www.boxingontario.com/ ; for information on our schedule go to  http://www.chusmartialarts.com/schedule.html

We've assembled the basic boxing fundamentals that will be your foundation into becoming an outstanding boxer.  YOU will be, "a boxer in training," learning and experiencing what it takes to box.  Anyone and everyone can hit the heavy bag but you will do it with a purpose.  Let's get into some basics of your training:

Your boxing workout at Chu's Martial Arts involves - Skipping Rope which work your calves, forearms, triceps, abs, coordination and that elusive word, "rhythm."

In learning your fighting stance which is a perfection of balance that works your calves, quads, triceps, rear delts and traps.

You will also learn the basic fundamentals of Shadow Boxing.  This is the fluidity of moving across the floor and delivering accurate punches defining you in that moment of time.  Tons of twisting working your core/trunk muscles and reflexes.

Our Gym School has several heavy bags.  In using the heavy these bags your workout gets very intense.  Muscles you either forgot about or had not idea existed will begin to form and tighten up while you are hitting these bags.
